On April 13, more than sixty members from nine fraternities and sororities at the University participated in the first annual Field Day at Blue Monarch. It was an idea first proposed by the Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary Club, and then in partnership with the University’s Greek life students and their philanthropic leaders. The plans turned into a huge success. All credit goes to our University students who fully engaged with the Blue Monarch moms and kids to make it such a special day. It is certain to be an annual tradition and yet another example of how the students from Greek Life significantly contribute to our local communities. A small sampling of pictures is attached, and yet these do not fully capture the joy among our students and the children and moms of Blue Monarch sharing time with one another. One of Blue Monarch’s underlying ideals is to “Love-Not Judge” and that was on full display with our students last Saturday. As an organization dedicated to service, our Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary Club could not be more proud of our students and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Greek life.
