Dear readers,
A late happy Shake Day to all who celebrate! I hope your Saturday was filled with responsible and safe merriment! And best of luck to those who have the dreaded Shake Day flu. I’ve escaped it so far, but no doubt the flu will snipe me sooner rather than later.
While we do not have a print issue for Issue 2, we are still publishing our articles online for your viewing pleasure. Expect a fully stacked print edition for Issue 3, containing all the articles from this issue and more.
In the meantime, be sure to read contributing writer Melody Norman’s thoughts on ChatGPT usage in school settings and the drawbacks that come from generative AI. Also, Opinions Editor Harper Rzepczynski wrote a well-researched and powerful critique of Sewanee’s silence during the widespread ICE raids across America. Her call to action is important to many; we must stand by our neighbors for what is right in the spirit of EQB.
On a lighter note, we have missed giving our readers their horoscopes. The hiatus is over now. In the name of Valentine’s Day, we asked the stars what they think of you all. And we took it very seriously.
YSR & EQB,
