Based upon current knowledge of water consumption on campus, it is estimated that each Sewanee student uses 30 gallons of water every day.
Despite its brief existence, many members are excited about where the club is heading. Williams noted, “It’s a new organization, so there are some kinks we need to work out, but I’m confident in the organization and the talented group of people in it.”
Thomas made a free throw to bring the score to 28-26 before Sewanee began to hit their stride. Sewanee started to drive to the basket hard, making five layups on a run that put the Tigers up 41-28 with 2:41 to play in the half. Hunter Buescher (C’19) made a jump shot with three seconds left to play to bring the score at halftime to 48-34.
“It was nice to see some of my classmates come together and participate in this activity over the weekend,” said Abbie Vaughn (C’20). “I love to bake, and this was my first time baking a lemon meringue pie, so I will remember this forever.”

The club is broken down into five committees: Club Service, Community Service, International Service, Professional Development, and Finance. Rotaract holds bi-monthly meetings to constantly create service projects and support other service groups at the University in their endeavours.
After innovatively standing on chairs to peer over the packed venue, I finally got a chance to see exactly why students were willing to do these ludicrous actions rather than flocking to a fraternity on a weekend night.
