Multicultural health week

As one of the newest organizations on the Domain, Sewanee Multicultural Health Society (SMHS) will be hosting a series of events in celebration of Multicultural health week, with a theme of #DiversifyHealth Week.

The celebration will embark on Monday (Feb. 22) with a panel discussion [McClurg ABC room at 12:30pm] about health care issues in rural American and modern Appalachia, part of a series of events organized. Everyone is invited to come hear from a selection of speakers and discover what diversifying health means to us and our community.

On Wednesday (February 24), SMHS will host Diabetes Extravaganza, an event devoted to learning about diabetes maintenance, reversal, patient care, and vital signs. What makes Type 2 diabetes so important? Catering by Julia’s.

On Friday (February 26), SMHS will end their celebration by hosting a gala/formal with friends, food, and conversation about what you’ve learned. Catering by IvyWild.
