Saturday, November 2, Sewanee welcomed another batch of prospective students to the Mountain.  With the changing leaves accentuating the pristine campus, families marveled at the Domain while learning about all that goes deeper than the striking appearance, the facets of the University that make Sewanee truly special.

Approximately 150 students and their families found their way to the mountain, and these 323 people were greeted by enthusiastic admissions staff, knowledgeable Arcadian tour guides, thoughtful senior interviewers, and innumerable happy students, faculty, and staff members all over campus.

“Our second Fall Preview was a wonderful success…the crisp fall weather we were lucky to have, enabled us to really showcase Sewanee. Fall Preview is a campus-wide effort, and we’re grateful for everyone—including the PPS staff, Sewanee Dining, and our Arcadians and Senior Interviewers—who helped make it a reality…the feedback we received indicated that it was among the best-planned and best-executed admission events our visiting families had attended.” said Forbes Mann (C’10), Assistant Director of Admissions.

Fall Preview is a full day of tours, information sessions, interviews, panel discussions, and more.  It offers a very comprehensive look into the many opportunities, adventures, classes, events, relationships, and so much more offered at Sewanee.

By the end of this admissions weekend, hundreds of excited high schoolers left Sewanee with an amazing sense of the academic and extracurricular opportunities, and many with that intrinsic feeling of belonging that has overcome so many students in the University’s 156 year history.
