As students return to the daily grind of classes, clubs, and activities, it is important to remember we don’t do it all by ourselves. From the chefs and staff at McClurg to the maintenance and custodial staff at Physical Plant Services, there are workers behind the scenes who help to ensure that our days go smoothly.

Meet Delores Taylor. A native of Lynchburg, TN, she has worked at the university for 35 years and now serves as Custodian Manager. Her 42 member custodial staff cleans classrooms, common areas, and bathrooms all over campus, while also helping students whenever they get the chance. Taylor loves the beautiful campus and meeting new students each year, as well as getting to see former students and their kids on campus. Her late husband, Willis Taylor Sr., worked as cook at Sewanee for over 40 years.
