On September 1, the volleyball team had their first match against Covenant. The Tigers took the first set 26-24, but Covenant won the next two 25-15. The final set was quite a nail-biter, with the final score being 29-27 Covenant. The Tigers did not let Covenant walk away team and feels that “regard-less of the score, I think we the team “maintained from start to finish of the game.” Within the final points of the last set, there were great kills from Stewart, Maggie Stanford (C’16), and Caro-line Owens (C’18) as well as spectacular digs from libero Peyton Parent (C’19).The team took the loss as an opportunity to improve for the season ahead. Stew-art has high hopes for her showed how much potential we have.” As the final set proved, the volleyball team not only has potential, but also a drive and a fight that will hopefully carry them through an excellent season ahead. The Tigers’ next game will be at the Huntingdon Jubilee Tournament on September 4, and their next home game will be against Wesleyan on September 11.
